Commitment to Inclusion
Geoscience has an inclusion problem, and much work remains to fix it.
Throughout my time at Brown, I have worked to improve workplace climate and make our department was as diverse and equitable as possible. I did this by serving on several department task forces and student-focused groups which strove for faculty support to enact systemic change by facilitating regular workshops and town halls with EEPS faculty, staff, and students.
Moving forward, I will continue working to make the geosciences both welcoming and sustainable for people from all backgrounds.
